Merry Christmas Family♥️

n

n2 Peter 3:8 shows me that God’s timing, with Him, looks different than what we can humanly imagine in our world. Then, going into verse 9, it shows that He does not delay His promises. We get an example from Abraham, and God tested his faith by asking him to sacrifice his son that he waited so long for. Abraham responded with faith; he was submitted to it. Even after waiting that long, he still had patience.

nWhen God gives us what we want for so long, we can sometimes forget who is the One who can also take it. I believe that He didn’t, but I also believe that He did this test of faith to see if Abraham would idolize the thing that he wished for for so long.

nBut also, in verse 9, it says that God is not wanting any to perish but to come to repentance. I think that also shows the heart of Abraham. Abraham tried to take captive the things that he longed for in his life instead of having patience with God through this test of faith. It should bring repentance of who he trusted in through the delay, though God does not delay His promises.

I love 2 Peter 3:8. It’s a powerful reminder that God’s timing is perfect—not ours—despite what we may think. This truth cultivates deeper trust, faith, and intimacy in our relationship with God. I can be impatient at times, so when things don’t happen right away, I can feel discouraged. However, when prayers are answered, I often look back and think, “Wow, this really was the perfect timing.”

nMerry Christmas, everyone ?❤️

Merry Christmas Family! I love 2 Peter 3:8! I think that it is pretty cool to know that a thousand years here on earth is like a day in heaven. And I can struggle with being impatient at times with God but I always remember that His timing is all apart of His glorious plans. Just like In Jeremiah 29:11-13, God has a plan for each of us, a plan to give us hope and a future. Sometimes it’s hard to wait or understand why things happen the way they do, but we can trust that He is always working for our good. When we seek Him with all our hearts, He promises that we will find Him, and that His guidance will never lead us astray. This Christmas, I’m reminded to be patient, to trust His timing, and to celebrate the ways He has been faithful in my life.?‍↕️

Merry Christmas! Personally, I’ve made some life altering decisions so I can relate to Abraham. Like him I’ve been asked to sacrifice something I long for many times. I pray to discover what the faithful decision will be and for the faith to make it!

I definitely needed this message! I’ve been thinking to myself “I need faith!” “I need faith!” and also focusing on how I feel. Now my focus is to remember God’s faithfulness and to live faithfully. As the scriptures say “the righteous will live by faith” I’m inspired to no longer be focusing on my feeling but on how God will strengthen me for the next task, even though it may not look great right now. That is true faith! I’m grateful for the tests and I see God in all of it now, praise Him!
