Wow this message was amazing and perfect timing as I will be traveling to see my family today in North Carolina. Me being patient and having a calming spirit through adversity will show my family my faith in tough situations but they will also get to see Gods heart towards each one of us. Just as Jesus was the king of Peace I should have that same heart when serving my family because my faithfulness will be rewarded by my love for God. Also one day they will become disciples as well so it’s awesome to show them what they will be reflecting in their lives as they walk with God daily♥️
I love what Zharia said! For me I love the question about what I can do to help my family see my faith this holiday. This will hold me accountable to just being a disciple and living a life of prioritizing Jesus and living a life of peace! My favorite part of the study was, “But God wants you to be patient in adversity; he wants you not to speed up to 2.0x, he wants you to slow down to 0.5 speed.” it’s challenging to me that God was us to slow down in affliction and sit in it and pray through it instead of numbing out or crashing out (fight or flight like we do in our flesh) we’re made new and are called to sit in it be patient in affliction and this with share our faith more than a Bible study or sermon to our families can , because they can see our transformation if they’re looking.
